Fire Insurance

Fire poses one of the biggest risks to your forestry asset. Up to 1,000 hectares of forestry are damaged by fire each year in Ireland.

Firefighting cost cover can be included.

It is important to insure your growing timber against damage caused by fire.

Public Liability

Public Liability insurance indemnifies against legal liability to pay damages as a result of accidental bodily injury and/or property damage to third parties arising in connection with the relevant forest business of the insured.

Given that forests are generally accessible to the public it is advisable to have public liability cover.

Reconstitution

This cover provides an allowance towards replanting costs following an insured loss on forests aged up to thirty years.
